The Emerald Grotto

Discovered by chance by a fisherman in 1932, the Emerald Grotto today is a must for many tourists.
It is located in Conca de Marini, a small town on the Amalfi Coast, also known for the famous sfogliatella Santa Rosa inventedby the cloistered nuns in 1681.
Once inside the visitor is surrounded by sparkling colors ranging from cobalt blue to emerald green, created by the sunlight that filters from an entrance located 12 meters deep. It is possible to admire stalactites and stalagmites created over the centuries and a Vietri ceramic nativity scene.
The Emerald Grotto is accessible from the road through the elevators and also from the sea, which makes everything even more impressive.
Do not miss another of the wonderful examples of the natural beauty of the Amalfi Coast.
